Processed metagenomic datasets from the gastrointestinal microbiome of goats (Capra hircus) fed with carob pods (Neltuma pallida) from the dry forests of northern Peru

This dataset contains processed shotgun metagenomic data, analytical outputs, metadata, figures, technical reports, HTML reports, and supplementary documentation associated with the study “Metagenomic landscape of the gastrointestinal microbiome in goats (Capra hircus) fed with carob pods (Neltuma pallida) from the dry forests of northern Peru”. The repository includes processed taxonomic profiles, functional profiles, alpha- and beta-diversity outputs, statistical summaries, sample-level metadata, sequencing summary information, static figures, and technical reports provided by the sequencing service provider. Raw sequencing reads, including FASTQ files, are not included because they are no longer available from the sequencing provider’s server and were not backed up locally before removal. Therefore, raw reads cannot be provided. To maximize transparency and reproducibility, all available processed datasets, metadata, analytical outputs, bioinformatic summaries, HTML reports, technical documentation, and figures have been deposited. The files are organized into taxonomic profiles, functional profiles, diversity analysis, statistical analysis, figures and tables, scripts and parameters, quality-control reports, and supplementary HTML report files. The tabular files are intended for data reuse and reanalysis, whereas HTML and PNG files are provided as supporting visualization and documentation outputs.
