Multiple explosive boiling of water during nanosecond heating of carbon nanoparticle in suspension

The problem of explosive boiling is relevant for describing the processes of initial bubble formation when highly absorbing nanoparticles immersed in a liquid medium are irradiated with a nanosecond laser pulse. At the same time, the task is difficult both in understanding the phenomenon and in mathematical description. Here we give a simplified thermodynamic interpretation of explosive vapor formation, calculate the explosive boiling point and the subsequent kinetics of the vapor bubble characteristics.
