Transcriptome analysis of developing gemma cup in Marchantia. Marchantia polymorpha strain:Takaragaike-1

The liverwort Marchantia polymorpha develops gemma-cup on the dorsal side of thallus, and generates over a hundred of clonal progenies called gemmae inside a gemma cup. To screen potential key regulators involved in the vegetative reproduction in M. polymorpha, we performed transcriptome analysis comparing gemma cup with thallus yet to form gemma cup and mid rib without gemma cup by RNA-seq using Illumina HiSeq2500 platform.
