Environmental and Bio-climatic Data over French Mediterranean areas

The provided dataset is a shapefile data that gathers multiple data sources on a 500m x 500m grid resolution covering three administrative regions in South of France: Occitania, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Corsica. It combines data of Soil Type from Corine Land Cover, Orientation of land from Copernicus, Altitude from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission, Bio-climatic data from Safran and Chemical Elements in the soil from the RMQS National Program. The bio-climatic data span the period from 2015 to 2020. We aggregated the values for each month and then derived the variables described in the data dictionary : maximum and minimum temperature, temperature variation, rainfall, temperature or humidity during the driest/wettest/warmest/coldest quarter… These values offer insights into the environment without providing a direct temperature or rainfall record on the period. The cell IDs correspond to those in the Xylella fastidiosa data available at https://doi.org/10.15454/RWBIWD, facilitating easy merging of these two datasets based on the IDs. The dataset comprises four files, all of which must be downloaded to be opened in a software program. Additionally, the data dictionary is provided for reference.
