Advanced research on the microbiome associated with cultured organisms and rearing pond water and sediment can contribute to increasing production. Therefore, the eubiosis and dysbiosis conditions of gut and gill of the cultured tilapia can help to predict the production. We applied 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing to elucidate the bacterial community structure in the gill (n=3) and intestine (n=3) of Nile tilapia as well as the water (n=3) and sediment (n=3) of rearing ponds. In the present study, a total of 9770 bacterial Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs) were identified in all the samples where the sediment samples had 3884 unique OTUs.
