Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1967

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1967 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in the months from January to December 1967. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. This data material contains information from all the omnibuses concerning the questions common to them. # #The questions common to all 1967 omnibuses are: urbanization; sex; age; marital status; occupation of respondent; way of income of respondent; income of respondent; income of family; supporter's occupation; schooling of respondent; composition of household; social group; and party affiliation. # #The special questions deal with such issues as: # #Omnibus no. 01 (DDA-1293): #School crossing patrols, their use and the need for more of them; Danish membership of NATO and a referendum on continued membership; the crisis between the USSR and China and the risk of a war between them; the date of the last absence from work and the duration; and the possession of a doctor's certificate in connection with absence from work. # #Omnibus no. 02 (DDA-1294): #Women's possibility of abortion and the legalization of abortion; Denmark joining the EC with or without Great Britain; own and state evaluation of flat; age of dwelling; modernization of dwelling; and use of seat belts. # #Omnibus no. 03 (DDA-1295): #The performance of the Government; opinion of the two TV programmes 'Fup eller Fakta' (Call My Bluff) and 'Spørg Århus' (Any Questions for Aarhus); purchases from door-to-door salesmen and attitude to these travelling salesmen; the time of eating the main meal (dinner); domestic help and number of hours per week; and tax form and size of tax deductions. # #Omnibus nos. 04-06 (DDA-1296 to DDA-1298): #No data in the files which the DDA received from the Roper Center. # #Omnibus no. 08 (DDA-1299): #Wedding ring; frequency of watching foreign political programmes on TV; US involvement in Vietnam; TV habits of children and preferences of respondent/children concerning children's programmes; and behaviour of the political parties concerning unemployment, social security, interests of salaried employees, prejudice, economic stability. # #Omnibus no. 09 (DDA-1300): #The Government's performance; bee stings; the co-operation between S (the Social Democratic Party) and SF (the Socialist People's Party); and amount of brutality in the Danish Police Force. # #Omnibus no. 10 (DDA-1301): #The economic prosperity of Denmark; Denmark's membership of NATO; Denmark joining the EC (with or without Great Britain); knowledge of allergy; being allergic to what and how it is treated; and new tax after the abolition of deductions of paid tax. # #Omnibus no. 11 (DDA-1302): #Radio in household; listening behaviour concerning the radio programme 'Søndagsjournalen' (Sunday Supplement); headache and use of painkillers; US involvement in the Vietnam War and the risk of a new world war because of this; negotiations to end the war; rise in salary or reduction of working hours; children's homework and parental help; and membership of a trade union under LO (the Danish Trades Union Congress). # #Omnibus no. 12 (DDA-1303): #Participation in demonstrations; the devaluation of 1967; Christmas Eve; expectations of 1968 concerning prices, unemployment, strikes, standard of living, Denmark's economic situation, peace, and the position of the world powers; and New Year's Eve
