资源简介:
This proposal aims to use neutron diffraction for the investigation of residual stresses in a duplex stainless steel induced by Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) process enhanced by a cooling system. The study will focus on an important issue such as: the control of microstructure, the reduction of residual stresses through cooling strategies and finally, the relationships between layers stacking, cooling conditions and residual stress distribution. Neutron diffraction will be used to analyze the residual stress gradients. The collected data will contribute to quantifying the impact of number of the deposed layers, the cooling conditions on the metallurgical and mechanical behaviors of the built parts. The stresses obtained in this work will also serve as essential data to validate a concurrently developed thermomechanical Finite Elements model of the produced parts. The ultimate goal is to enhance the understanding and the control of the WAAM process to improve the component’s production.
