资源简介:
The previous TEST 8F and 9F suggested that the rebounding of the peat when spun down is creating suction of the water from the levee on top. Therefore the levee is strengthen and not well saturated. In this TEST 10G we are investigating a suitable method to properly place a saturated levee on top of the peat layer. Normally we saturate a dry sand/clay mix applying vacuum and flushing CO2 before releasing slowly water from the bottom. Unfortunately the characteristics of the peat do not allow to use the vacuum when we will build the final model. This TEST 10G employes a dry-pluviation technique of the levee on top of the peat with the container filled with CO2. Water was then released from 1 side, and it was let risen until 80% of the levee height. Then the model was spun up and 3 motions were applied. The data from the second motion were not recorded due to technical issues.
