资源简介:
MgMn6Sn6, a kagome-lattice ferromagnet with the space group P6/mmm, presents a compelling platform for studying frustrated magnetism and topologically nontrivial electronic states. Our preliminary investigations indicate that MgMn6Sn6 orders ferromagnetically at TC ≈300 K, with a magnetic moment of M_Mn≈2.2 μB at 2 K. Notably, a discrepancy between the magnetization and resistivity measurements along the z-axis between 2 K-25 K suggests the presence of non-coplanar spin structure or other magnetic anomalies. To probe the underlying magnetic structure, we propose single-crystal neutron diffraction measurements. The objective of the proposed study is to map the magnetic structure at various temperatures, particularly at low temperatures, to explore potential spin reorientations and investigate in-plane anisotropies or modulated magnetic structures. Single-crystal neutron diffraction on the SXD diffractometer will be conducted across a T-range of 5K-400K, spanning both the magnetic and paramagnetic phases. The data obtained will allow for determination of the magnetic structure and its T-dependence. The findings will be further correlated with future angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy results to establish a connection between the material's electronic and magnetic properties. These measurements will provide essential insights into the complex magnetic behaviors in kagome-systems, contributing to the understanding of their potential applications in quantum technologies.
