Transcriptomic analysis of YbaB mutants in E. coli

RNA-sequencing of wildtype E. coli strain K-12 substr. MG1655 versus ybaB null mutant. Illumina (Novaseq 6000), 150PE platform was used for mRNA library preparation. The analysis was carried out using two biological replicates of each of the strains i.e., Wildtype MG1655 (MG1, MG2) and ybaBEc null mutant (DE1A, DE2B).The differentially expressed genes also belonged to a variety of stress response regulators such as abiotic stimulus response, and temperature stimulus response. Several stress response genes pertaining to cold shock response as well as antibiotic stress response mechanisms were found to be differentially expressed in the null mutant, such as cspI, cspB, cspG and blr.
