Dataset Direct Download Service (WFS): Competent bodies for river development in Charente.

Polygons intersecting the Charente department and bringing together the municipalities belonging to a syndicate of rivers competent for the development of non-domanial watercourses (referential: BD TOPO). Municipalities transfer their powers to the establishment they create. The transfer of powers to a lasting intercommunity may take the form of association cooperation (union and other groupings) or project cooperation (public institutions of inter-communal cooperation with own taxation — EPCI). An EPCI may exercise only those powers which have been explicitly transferred to it either by law or by its member municipalities.
