Mertz Polynya Experiment: mooring data from the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre (ACE-CRC)

This dataset provides mooring data from the Mertz Polynya Experiment deployments. Two mooring arrays comprising thermosalinographs, current meters and upward loking sonars were deployed in the region of the Polynya. The first array of 7 moorings was deployed in April 1998. The second array of 4 moorings was deployed in the winter of 1999. All 11 Polynya moorings were recovered in February 2000. The Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre (ACE-CRC) deployed the moorings and processed the data. The dataset includes seawater velocity, temperature and salinity data. The Mertz Polynya Experiment includes ctd data that are part of the related collection "Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) sensor and water sample data from the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre (ACE-CRC)".
