Adventitious roots (ARs) play a critical role in cuttage of poplar. To reveal the molecular mechanism underlying AR formation, we used RNA-seq to investigate the transcriptional alteration of P. xiaohei cuttings soaked in water for 0 d, 2 d, 4 d, 6 d, 8 d and 10 d, respectively.
