Tomato as an important vegetable crop in which grafting technology is widely used at present. However, there are few studies on the molecular mechanisms that underly successful graft formation in tomato. To obtain a complete gene expression network during graft formation, more sample collection time points will be required. In this study, internode tissues above and below the graft junction were collected at different times, and we performed weighted gene co-expression analysis to describe the temporal and spatial transcriptional dynamics that occur during tomato graft formation.
