Digital Devices And Social Challenges : Understanding The Digital Lives Of Bangladeshi Children and Parents

This study explores how the use of mobile devices influences the everyday lives of Bangladeshi children and the social challenges it creates for both children and their parents. Drawing on a sociological perspective, the research highlights patterns of mobile usage, its role in shaping children’s socialization, and the concerns expressed by parents regarding behavioral changes, reduced physical interaction, and academic distraction. The findings reveal both opportunities and risks associated with digital engagement, emphasizing the need for awareness, parental guidance, and policy interventions to ensure the healthy development of children in a rapidly digitalizing society
