Molecular characterization of Escherichia coli causing early-onset neonatal infection in comparison with vaginal carriage

We characterized by whole genome sequencing 32 Escherichia coli early onset neonatal sepsis (EOS) strains from a prospective multicenter study in France from 2019 to 2021 and compare them to E. coli strains collected from the vagina at the third trimester of gestation.
