Research data supporting "Frequent dust events in northern high-latitude marine boundary layer near Greenland"

The elemental composition of particles (with 4-hour time resolution) was monitored using an ambient continuous multi-metals monitor (Xact 625i, SailBri Cooper Inc., USA), which uses non-destructive energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) analysis. During the DY151 cruise, the Xact measured 27 elements, of which only 10 (S, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, Fe, Cu, Zn, Br, and Sr) were selected for this analysis, as they were above detection limits. PM₁₀ mass concentrations were measured at 1-minute resolution using a Fine Dust Measuring Device (Fidas 200, Palas, Germany) at a flow rate of 5 L min⁻¹. Dust concentrations were estimated using the measured elemental composition. The Excel file provides detailed information on the elemental concentrations measured during the DY151 research cruise.
