Exploring the Magnetotail from Low Altitudes: Evolution of Energetic Electron Flux During the Substorm Growth Phase

RCM_outputs_Fig3.zip— Self-consistent RCM simulation output files showing the evolution of plasma pressure and magnetic field \(B_z\) in the equatorial plane and ionosphere over a 2-hour substorm growth phase. These results are used to support the analysis in Figure 3. RCM_outputs_Fig6.zip — Realistic RCM simulation output files of energetic electron distributions during the substorm growth phase, constructed using ELFIN-derived initial conditions for the June 20, 2021 event. These data correspond to the analysis presented in Figure 6. RCM_outputs_Fig7.zip — Realistic RCM simulation output files for another ELFIN event on August 11, 2022. These files show the evolution of trapped electron fluxes and support the comparisons in Figure 7. The names of RCM simulation output files specify the simulation time in a format of "hhmmss".
