This series consists of authorities submitted to the Treasurer via the Auditor General for the authorisation of contingent wages and allowances for employees of the Department of Trade and Customs. The authorities were submitted from the Department on a periodical basis of between a fortnight and a month. Once signed by the Auditor General and the Treasurer, payment was authorised.The records in this series provide the following details:Authority no.To whom issued (payee)Particulars (i.e. for travelling expenses, lodging, overtime, etc.)Date of issue
