Opinion on women working in Japan 2023, by gender

In a survey conducted in Japan between November 2022 and January 2023, the majority of respondents expressed the opinion that women should continue working even after having children. Over 61 percent of female respondents and over 57 percent of male respondents thought that women should continue working even after childbirth. Around 27 percent of women and men stated that women should temporarily quit their jobs to raise children and resume working after they have grown up.

在日本于2022年11月至2023年1月期间进行的一项调查中，受访者中绝大多数人表达了女性在生育子女后仍应继续工作的观点。超过61%的女性受访者以及超过57%的男性受访者认为，女性即使在分娩之后也应继续投身职场。大约27%的受访女性及男性表示，女性应当暂时离职以养育子女，待子女成年后再恢复工作。
