资源简介:
The Hottentot golden mole (Amblysomus hottentotus) is a species of mammal in the golden mole family, Chrysochloridae. It is found in South Africa, Eswatini, and possibly Lesotho (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a male individual found in South Africa was procured by Steven M. Goodman and Adam Ferguson of the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco. Due to sparse Hi-C signals, only a draft assembly that does not meet all the VGP metrics was generated for this individual.
