Physical oceanography from mooring UIB3 in the Amundsen Sea

Ocean currents, temperature and pressure time series from one oceanographic mooring deployed in the trough between Siple and Carney Islands, leading in to a central front of the Getz Ice Shelf in the Amundsen Sea, Antarctica. The mooring (UiB3) was deployed/retrieved from RV. Araon in January 2016/2018 and consisted of ADCP (RDI) and temperature/pressure/salinity sensors (Seabird Electronics; SBE56, microcat). The time resolution is 1h. In total nine NetCDF-files are provided, one for each instrument. Details on the mooring design and instrument set-up are given in the cruise reports (see https://doi.org/10.21335/NMDC-1721053841). The data set is analyzed in Dundas, Darelius, Daae, Steiger, Nakayama, and Kim 2022 (in review).
