资源简介:
Critically ill patients with sepsis may suffer from acquired immunosuppression thus possibly worsening outcomes. Sepsis is defined as a life threatening dys-regulated host immune response to various pathogens. Expression of monocytic human leukocyte antigen receptor has recently been proposed as a promising marker of immune function allowing for quantification of immunosuppression and risk of secondary infections. This interaction has also been studied in patients suffering from COVID-19. Injection of interferon gamma has been discussed as a possible therapy in order to restore immune function. Here we compare several studies regarding expression of monocytic human leukocyte antigen receptor in patients suffering from immunosuppression.
