重建青藏高原及其邻区新生代气候环境演化过程并提取分析重大气候事件,对理解“青藏高原隆升-化学风化-全球变冷”相互关系具有重要的参考意义。本数据集依据来自青藏青藏高原东部及其邻区多地的新生代沉积记录(塔里木、柴达木、可可西里、囊谦、金川、西宁、兰州、彬县和石楼),包含以粒度、环境磁学、矿物学、元素和同位素地球化学、有机地球化学和孢粉等多种方法重建的区域古环境演化数据。据此获得的古海拔、古温度、古湿度、古植被和气候事件等古气候古环境信息,为解释高原大陆化学风化过程及区域气候演化与高原隆升和全球变化轨道周期变化的内在动力学联系提供了重要的数据支撑。
Reconstructing the Cenozoic climatic and environmental evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its adjacent regions, as well as identifying and analyzing major climatic events, are of great reference significance for understanding the interrelationships among "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau uplift-chemical weathering-global cooling". This dataset is compiled based on Cenozoic sedimentary records from multiple sites in the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its adjacent areas, including the Tarim Basin, Qaidam Basin, Hoh Xil, Nangqên, Jinchuan, Xining, Lanzhou, Binxian, and Shilou. It contains regional paleoenvironmental evolution data reconstructed using multiple proxies such as grain size analysis, environmental magnetism, mineralogy, elemental and isotopic geochemistry, organic geochemistry, and palynology. Paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental information derived from this dataset, including paleoelevation, paleotemperature, paleohumidity, paleovegetation, and recorded climatic events, provides critical data support for elucidating the intrinsic dynamic linkages between chemical weathering processes on the plateau, regional climatic evolution, plateau uplift, and orbital-scale variations in global climate change.
