Fungicolous species belonging to the order Hypocreales have been verified as the main reason for the destruction of edible mushroom cultivations of the genus Agaricus. This project aims to elucidate the genetic mechanisms of the mycophilic mode of life. Genome analyses of all known important mycophilic species will set the background for further -omic approaches in order to decipher the interactions between these species and their mushroom host.
