PPAR-delta and alcohol-related liver disease

Chronic alcohol-related liver disease is associated with dysregulation of bile acid metabolism and gut barrier dysfunction. PPAR-delta agonists are key metabolic regulators and anti-inflammatory agents. In this project, we evaluated the effects of the selective PPAR-delta agonist seladelpar MBX-8025 on the gut barrier function and bile acid metabolism in a mouse model of ethanol-induced liver disease.
