The data consists of the responses from a perceptual experiment conducted with 40 native Arabic speakers, equally divided between Najdi Arabic and Cairene Arabic. The experiment used synthesized minimal pairs of Arabic words containing the vowels /i/, /a/, and /u/ and their long counterparts /ii/, /aa/, and /uu/. <br>Stimuli details (word, original vowel duration, manipulated vowel duration)Participant responses (short or long vowel perception for each stimulus)Audio files<br>
