Main effects and selected two-way interactions of drought (D, continuous vs. discontinuous irrigation), air warming (AW, ambient vs. elevated air temperature) and soil (acidic vs. calcareous) on start and duration of growth. Data is separately shown for each growing season and each flush. Data of the provenances growing on the same half of each lysimeter were pooled before analysis (n = 8).
