Drosophila mauritiana Genome sequencing. Drosophila mauritiana

The species of the Drosophila melanogaster subgroup are important models for studying the molecular basis of the origin of species. While many of the species in this subgroup have an existing genome sequence, D. mauritiana does not. D. mauritiana is a widely used taxon in speciation genetics. Our goal is to obtain a high-quality reference sequence for investigators using D. mauritiana for their research.
