Code and results supporting the manuscript "A Compound Hydro-Climatic Stress Index for Diagnosing Persistent Water-Scarcity Risk in the Jordan River Basin" (El-Samra & El-Fadel, submitted to Journal of Hydrology: Regional Studies). This repository contains the full analysis pipeline used to compute the Compound Hydro-Climatic Stress Index (CHSI) for the Jordan River Basin (JRB) from station-level NASA POWER data (2000–2010 baseline) and a 21-member bias-corrected NEX-GDDP CMIP5 ensemble (RCP4.5/RCP8.5, 2011–2050), including: Google Earth Engine scripts for extracting NEX-GDDP temperature and precipitation data Python scripts computing standardized anomalies, baseline and future CHSI values, the thermal-penalty hybrid-scenario analysis, and station-level threshold exceedance Statistical significance testing (Shapiro–Wilk normality, Mann–Whitney U, two-sample Kolmogorov–Smirnov, Cliff's Delta, bootstrap confidence intervals) Scripts generating the manuscript's figures Output data tables underlying the manuscript's Tables 6–8 Scripts are included in full to document the analysis history; the README specifies which scripts constitute the final pipeline used to produce the published results, and which were earlier, superseded iterations kept for transparency. Raw NASA POWER station data are publicly available at https://power.larc.nasa.gov/data-access-viewer/. NEX-GDDP climate projections are publicly available via Google Earth Engine (collection NASA/NEX-GDDP).
