Meta-Study on Anthropometric Facial Measurements: A Collection of Summary Statistics

This dataset is an aggregation of summary statistics of anthropometric facial measurements extracted from 31 scientific publications covering Asians, Blacks, Caucasians, Hispanics, and Middle Easterners. The goal was to create a realistic and ethical reference dataset reflecting how facial proportions vary within and across ethnic groups.

Since raw facial data is sensitive and difficult to access, we used published summary statistics (mean, standard deviation, and sample size) instead. We focused on 28 standard facial landmark distances defined by the FaceBase consortium that cover key regions such as the forehead, eyes, nose, mouth, and jaw. The data is aggregated in the form of CSV files with a fixed format, allowing for automatic parsing. The publication information of the third-party publications used is found in each column of the CSV files.
