Thermonectus marmoratus Transcriptome or Gene expression. Thermonectus marmoratus

Thermonectus marmoratus (sunburst diving beetle) is the only extant animal with a bifocal lens. This lens is present within the larvae of this holometabolous insect and is utilized for prey detection. In this study we were interested in investigating the genes and proteins underlying this lens. To do this we utilized a transctriptomic approach associated with a mass spectometry analysis of proteins.
