Peanut exhibits wide cultivar variations in Cd accumulation. However, the molecular mechanism involved in cadmium translocation and accumulation is still unclear. To establish the mechanisms of Cd distribution and accumulation within peanut plants, eight cDNA libraries from the roots of two contrasting cultivars, low-Cd cultivar (Fenghua 1) and a high-Cd cultivar (Silihong), were constructed and sequenced by RNA-sequencing.
