TCV-X21-GENEX: influence of collisions on the validation of global gyrokinetic simulations

This repository contains the data that supports the findings of the study that is published in <em>P. Ulbl et al., Phys. Plasmas 30, </em>052507 <em>(2023)</em>. Three global electromagnetic gyrokinetic simulations of the TCV-X21 case have been performed. A collisionless (No Coll) simulation, one with a Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook (BGK) collision operator and one with a Fokker-Planck type Lenard-Bernstein/Dougherty (LBD) collision operator. For getting started, please consider the README file provided in this dataset. The Jupyter notebook herein provides a low level entry on how to access the data from the netCDF file. The zip files contain sets of input parameters that are given for future reference.
