This dataset describes counts of each time an indicated behavior was performed by a Corvus brachyrhynchos (American crow) individual encountered on a survey near the Venice Beach, California least tern colony.
The behaviors included are as follows:[F - A] Foraging: Anthropogenic Sources[F - NA] Foraging: Non-Anthropogenic Sources[F - P] Foraging: Predation[Sc] Scanning[R] Roosting[P] Perching[T] Traveling[T - F] Traveling: In-Flight[VO] Vocalizations[G] Grooming[OS] Out of sight
The routes surveyed are as follows:
"beach" - The beach route ran north along Venice beach, parallel to the ocean, from the tern colony until the pier adjacent to Washington Blvd."resid" - The residential route ran north on Pacific Ave alongside the Ballona Lagoon, crossed to the east side of the channel, and continued north on Via Marina until ending at Washington Blvd. "rest" - The restaurant route started at the west end of Washington Blvd at the Venice Beach pier and continued east on Washington Boulevard for half a mile.
