Erbil Diabetes Dataset

This dataset presents diabetes data in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It was collected from individuals referred by expert physicians for diabetes-related tests, following suspicions of the disease. The tests were conducted by highly trained professionals in a private laboratory in Erbil. The dataset includes 14 features across 661 observations. The HbA1c feature can be used as a target variable. During the data collection process, all ethical guidelines and measures were strictly followed by both local and international regulations. Detailed descriptions of the features can be found in the readme file.

The features included in the dataset are as follows:
1. Social Life: Indicates whether the patient resides in an urban area (city) or a rural area (village).
2. Blood Pressure (BP): The patient’s blood pressure measurement.
3. Age: The age of the patient in years.
4. Sex: The gender of the patient (male or female).
5. Cholesterol Level (Chol): The total cholesterol level in the patient’s blood.
6. Triglycerides (Trig): The level of triglycerides in the patient’s blood.
7. High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL): The level of HDL cholesterol, often referred to as 'good' cholesterol.
8. Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL): The level of LDL cholesterol, often referred to as 'bad' cholesterol.
9. Very Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL): The level of VLDL cholesterol, another type of 'bad' cholesterol.
10. Family Relationship (Genetics): Indicates the genetic predisposition to diabetes based on family history.
11. Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c): A measure of blood sugar levels over the past two to three months, which can be used as a target variable.
12. Body Mass Index (BMI): A measure of body fat based on height and weight.
13. Random Blood Sugar (RBS): The blood sugar level at a random time of day.
14. Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS): The blood sugar level after fasting, typically measured after not eating for at least 8 hours.
