The dataset encompasses the biogenic volatile organic compound (BVOCs) concentrations data in pptv for the period of September 2022, December 2022 and March 2023 collected at Spioenkop Nature Reserve. The aim of this study was to measure the diurnal pattern of ambient BVOC concentrations across two seasons (summer and autumn), estimate their ozone formation potential (OFP) and their reactivity to hydroxyl radicals (OH) and ozone (O3) in a remote grassland site. In this study, BVOC concentrations were measured at the South African Environmental Observation Network (SAEON)-Expanded Freshwater and Terrestrial Environmental Observation Network (EFTEON) Eddy Covariance Flux Tower at Spioenkop Nature Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. BVOCs were sampled over two hourly intervals onto Tenax TA and Carbopack- B sorbent tubes during one-week summer (13-17 December 2022) and autumn (21-25 March 2023) campaigns.
