French Guiana forest understory hourly temperatures over 2014-2024

The present data is used in the study by Hes et al. 2025, in prep.

The total_T_understory.csv dataset is a collection hourly air temperature sensor data from the understory of moist tropical forests in French Guiana. The sensors were located in four forest sites (Nouragues: NOU, Paracou: PAR, Laussat: LAU, Itoupé: ITO) and covered variable time ranges from 4 months to 8.5 years with a total of 388 recorded years over the 2014-2024 period.

The metadata_T_understory.csv file includes coordinates and elevation for each sensor location (Site_id). The habitat type and subtype is provided for each sensor location with the following correspondance: 1.6: tropical/subtropical moist lowland  1.9: tropical/subtropical moist montane
