Ultrafast Electron Diffraction data of UV-induced dissociation of the CF3I molecule (experimental and simulated data), and Genetic Algorithm application.

This work presents the application of Genetic Algorithm (GA) to retrieve the molecular structure. The performance of GA is evaluated using the simulated data that mimics experimental conditions, and is tested with actual experimental data. A specialized version of the GA has been developed and implemented for diffraction measurements, demonstrating the improved performance over standard GA when dealing with imperfect data.GA is applied to the experimental and simulated data of UV-induced photodissociation of the CF3I molecule using Ultrafast Electron Diffraction. The experimental data are associated with the delay (the time delay between laser and electron beam) after 1 ps.
