The data are sequences of dengue prototype strains of four serotypes including strain Hawaii of serotype 1, strain 16681 and New Guinea C of serotype 2, strain H87 of serotype 3, and strain H241 of serotype 4. Five dengue strains were pooled and sequenced in a single sequencing run by Roche 454 pyrosequencing technology. Pooled prototype data were used as a "proof of concept" for sequencing dengue quasispecies in clinical specimen. In addition, the data provided complete CDS of prototypes strains constantly propagated in our laboratory.
