VPRS 18382 Railway Loop Construction Plans

These records were compiled by Melbourne Underground Railway Loop Authority (VA 2987) in preparation and during the construction of the Melbourne underground railway loop.The records include details of geological plans, services plans (Water, Gas, Electrical and Telecommunications), railway infrastructure and architectural plans that were required to plan and construct the Melbourne underground railway loop.The records also include plans containing the original layouts of underground services within Melbourne including tunnels, original planning for undergrounding of transport services including trams and plans of architectural buildings around the path of the loop.Researchers should note that only plans that were amended by Melbourne Underground Railway Loop Authority (MURLA) or created by contractors for MURLA were kept.
