资源简介:

Mosquitoes play a central role as vectors of arboviruses, and their blood-feeding behavior is directly related to patterns of pathogen transmission. Forest edge environments, where natural and modified landscapes converge, can influence interactions between mosquitoes and vertebrate hosts. Understanding these interactions is important for characterizing host use and supporting studies on vector ecology and disease dynamics. This dataset includes mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) sequences and associated metadata from blood-fed mosquitoes collected in forest edge environments at the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve, in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. Metadata include mosquito species identification, sampling locations, and inferred vertebrate hosts based on DNA barcoding. Sequence data are provided in FASTA format along with corresponding metadata available in CSV format, enabling reuse in ecological and comparative analyses of mosquito feeding patterns and host-vector interactions. An interactive HTML map of the collection sites is also included.
