Field sampling of Ectocarpales and associated microbes from Southern Australia

This study describes the sampling of Ectocarpus individuals as well as spores from several sites along the Hopkins River and other rivers along the coastline of Victoria, Australia. It also includes the isolation of bacterial cultures and amplicon sequencing to capture the diversity of uncultured bacteria associated with the algae.
