Share of marine areas protected East Asia 2020, by country or region

In 2020, about 8.2 percent of marine area in Japan were considered dedicated to the protection of biological diversity and the environment. In comparison, approximately 2.5 percent of South Korea's marine area were protected in 2020. No part of the maritime areas of Hong Kong or North Korea were dedicated to environmental protection that year.

至2020年，日本约8.2%的海洋区域被视为专门用于生物多样性和环境的保护。相较之下，2020年韩国约2.5%的海洋区域得到了保护。当年，香港和朝鲜的海洋区域均未划拨用于环境保护。
