Latitudinal gradient of termite diversity indicates higher diversification and narrower thermal niches in the tropics

This dataset contains all the files used to investigate the main drivers of the latitudinal gradient of Termite diversity by Cerezer, Azevedo, Nascimento, Franklin, Morais & Dambros (GEB - 2020). The data includes: 1) "TermiteCodes.R" and "TermiteFunctions.R" - Codes and functions used to perform the analyses and produce the figures presented in Cerezer et al. (2020). 2) "TermiteRawData.csv" - Raw data of termite occurrence on a global scale that used the standardized sampling protocol of Jones & Eggleton, 2000 (see Methods for more details). 3) "TermitePredictors.csv" - Predictor variables extracted for each plot and used to test the association with species richness and composition (see Methods for more details). 4) "Metadata" - Description of the predictor variables used in the study.
