Groundwater Observations, Red Canyon Creek

This dataset contains groundwater table observations from 12 wells located along Red Canyon Creek at Red Canyon Ranch. Observations were made from May 2022 through end of July 2023 along four transects (3 wells per transect). Two transects were located along a reach containing BDAs, while two transects were located above the BDA section in an unrestored portion of Red Canyon Creek, to remove the impact of BDAs on the water table observations. Each transect was located approximately 40 meters apart.

Well naming convention, locations, brief explanation of baro correction for atmospheric pressure, and 15-minute water table observations are provided in the below EXCEL file.

Water table depths were observed using Van Essen TD-divers.

Wells were drilled with a GeoProbe and consist of 5 cm diameter schedule 40 PVC. The lowest 1.5 m of each well was screened. Casings were capped with bentonite and packed with sand. Well depths were approx. 3 to 4 m.
