INTERATING THE CURRICULUM FOR TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES

In today’s globalized and interconnected world, the teaching of English to speakers of other languages requires more than linguistic competence—it demands cultural awareness, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary engagement. This article examines how curriculum integration supports the development of communicative and cognitive skills in ESOL learners. It focuses on the principles, methods, and practical implications of integrating English instruction with other academic subjects. Drawing on content-based instruction, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary teaching, the study highlights how integration bridges the gap between language learning and real-world knowledge.
