To uncover the internal dynamic processes and mechanisms underlying regime shifts in tidal flat systems, we conducted multi-year in-situ near-bottom boundary layer hydrodynamic observations and topographic monitoring at Dafeng tidal flat—a transitional tidal flat along the central Jiangsu coast that is undergoing a shift from accretion to erosion—during 2021, 2022, and 2024. The objective was to investigate the morphodynamic responses and feedback mechanisms associated with the accretion-to-erosion transition. The dataset includes multi-year topographic change data, time series of sediment dynamics, and calibration data for turbidity measurements.
