Reference and projected sea ice, waves and safe period for the Hudson Bay, Foxe Basin and Ungava Bay

The main objectives of this dataset are to: (1) provide new information and datasets acquired since the first iteration of the IRIS-4 report (Allard and Lemay, 2012) and with a stronger focus on coastal regions where most communities are located; (2) present an update of climate variability and trend and reference climate for the IRIS-4 region based on new data sources and from climate information produced through an ArcticNet funded research project (Diaconescu et al., 2017); (3) present key baseline climate indicators as well as climate extremes indicators that are relevant to local needs; and (4) present climate change projections using time series and maps for near-term and long-term based on regional downscaling of climate simulations from the CRCM numerical models.
