Our prior studies indicat age-dependent contralateral axonal sprouting following unilateral lesion of magnocellular neurons in the supraoptic nucleus. We performed Oxford Nanopore sequencing of the rat supraoptic nucleus to determine changes in DNA methylation with age. Overall design: Comparative analysis of DNA CpG methylation was performed on two age groups, 35 days and 125 days old. Each group consisted of 3 biological replicates. For each biological replicate, the supraoptic nuclei of 4 rats were pooled.
